4 months old

Leila turned 4 months on January 14th. She also had her well-child care check-up with Dr. Brasher that same day. Her measurements are as follows:
-Head - 41.1 cm - 56%
- Height - 25 1/4 in - 86%
- Weight - 14 lb 14.5 oz - 79%
Dr. Brasher made a point to say that these percentiles are for Caucasian girls only. They don't take into consideration any other races or mixed babies. This was also her second round of shots. She is a rock star. She cried for about 3 seconds and then was done. She was a little whiny throughout the evening, but nothing unbearable.
At 4 months old, Leila has started making some funny sounds. She does this inhale squeal that gets really loud. She "pants"...sounds like a heavily breathing dog. She sticks her lips way out like kissy lips or sucks in her bottom lip. When she sees mom laughing at her faces, she tries to keep making the face instead of laughing. THAT makes me laugh even more! She is SO close to rolling over. She has made herself mobile by balling up and throwing her feet out...it scoots her across the floor. In this picture she started out laying in the crawl tunnel. By the time I turned around from the computer to check on her, she had scooted this far. THEN, by the time I found my camera to take a picture, she was not happy.
Leila had her first rice cereal that night we went to the doctor. That first time, the cereal was too pasty and she was too tired to try it. The second night, she went to town eating all that was prepared. The third night, she was too tired and wanted to hurry up and eat. She started out eating it, but just wanted to get full fast. The fourth night, she went to town, eating it all again. This time she opened her mouth wide open waiting for a bite. She also slams her hand down every time almost like she is demanding more. SO FUN!

She has started grabbing her feet. Pulling her socks off so she can reach her feet.

She still loves the bath! Check out those arm rolls.

Check out those leg rolls too. Again, with the foot grab.
